March 19, 2013 - Simsbury Bank is pleased to announce that it was a major sponsor of the Downtown YMCA’s 3rd Annual Mission in Motion Cycle-a-thon to benefit the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign. The Cycle-a-thon was held at the XL Center in Hartford on Saturday, March 2nd. Volunteer teams from around the Hartford region, including two from Simsbury Bank, cycled on stationary bicycles for a total of four hours in exchange for contribution pledges. In addition to being a major sponsor of the event, Simsbury Bank raised over $1,265 in pledges by their two teams. Overall, the event raised over $22,000 for the Strong Kids Campaign for 2013.
