May 9, 2013 - Simsbury Bank is very pleased to announce that it is the lead sponsor of the Simsbury Little League’s capital initiatives, providing $25,000 for improvements and renovations to the Little League facilities at Simsbury Memorial Park. The improvements include three new public bathrooms, new roofing and the addition of a viewing pavilion on the existing Snack Shack facility. In recognition of Simsbury Bank’s major role in funding the improvements, Simsbury Little League is pleased to include Simsbury Bank signage on the Snack Shack. The improvements were completed in time for the April 27th Opening Day at the field.
“Simsbury Bank’s support has provided us the ability to construct the facilities we’ve had on our wish list for over 10 years,” said President of the Simsbury Little League Tom Benneche. “Because of these improvements, we can now host state-wide All-Star tournaments right here in Simsbury. This will draw more teams to play on our fields.”
“The improved facilities at the park will provide more opportunities for local teams,” said Simsbury Bank CEO Martin Geitz. “We are thrilled to be a major sponsor of the Simsbury Little League and sponsor the renovation of their facilities.”
