New Year's Financial Resolutions were the topic as Martin Geitz, President & CEO of Simsbury Bank, appeared on Fox 61's morning show in the Money Matters segment on December 28, 2011. Suggested resolutions are: improving your retirement nest egg by opening or adding to an IRA, creating a financial safety net that includes establishing a home equity line of credit, getting a loan check-up because rates are at historic lows, saving for a child's college sooner than later and opening a tax-advantaged HSA for those covered by high deductible health plans.
