Simsbury Bank is pleased to bring selected towns' taxpayers an easy way to start saving for residential real estate taxes. This special savings account helps take the worry out of funding your taxes and offers a premium interest rate at the same time. Currently, real estate property taxpayers in Bloomfield and Simsbury can open these accounts.

Account Benefits
- Flexible: The size and amount of deposits or transfers to the account are determined
by the taxpayer. While designed to save for residential real estate taxes, funds can be
accessed by the account holder for any reason.
- Personal Control: The taxpayer determines when and how deposits or transfers
are made.
- Convenience: Deposits may be made in a manner chosen by the taxpayer – at any
Simsbury Bank branch, ATM, mail, direct debit, direct deposit or through SBT Online.
- Free: There are no fees paid by the taxpayer, including no monthly maintenance fees
nor minimum balance requirements to maintain the account and earn interest.
- Confidential: The account belongs to the taxpayer. The town you pay taxes to has no
access to the account balance, transactions or other information.
- Preferred rate: Earn a premium interest rate. Interest accrues daily and is compounded monthly.*
- Automated Tax Payment:
- The Town of Bloomfield will automatically deduct your taxes due on or about July 15th.
- The Town of Simsbury will automatically deduct your taxes due on or about July 15th and on or about January 15th.
- Other Benefits:
- Free access to SBT Online
- Available for overdraft protection on your other Simsbury Bank checking accounts.

- A copy of the current residential real estate tax bill
- Drivers license or other equivalent photo ID
- All other standard Simsbury Bank account opening procedures
